Apprenticeship in Carpentry and Joinery

This course is a great starting point for developing your carpentry and joinery skills. You can come to us straight from school and get your career in the industry off to the right start.
This course provides the ideal introduction to the construction industry allowing students to learn, develop and practice skills in the following construction trades: bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, plastering, painting and decorating and plumbing with a view to continuing learning in a particular trade or developing into a maintenance operative role.
This is a great course, that will improve your woodworking skills with a bigger focus on bench joinery. You will be working on real projects around the Brooksby campus, including buildings for animals, building new seating around campus and fixing and building gates to name just a few.
This qualification allows students to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment or career progression as a Bricklayer. Students will earn an industry recognised qualification which will support them into employment and as they progress throughout their careers.
